Recipe - Maple Bacon French Toast

I’m a huge fan of most anything sweet and savory.

Quite possibly one of my favorite sweet and savory combinations is chicken and waffles.

A close second is my homemade maple bacon french toast.

Ingredients

  • Bread of Choice (I use a 35 - 45 calorie option, so I can have more pieces)

  • Egg Whites

  • Apples

  • Bacon Bits

  • Honey Ham (Don’t knock it till you try it!)

  • Cinnamon

  • Peanut Butter

Procedure

  1. Preheat pan to medium - high heat

  2. Portion out ingredients

  3. Prepare egg wash by combining egg whites and cinnamon into a shallow bowl.

  4. Coat both sides of bread and place onto the preheated pan. Cook until golden brown then flip.

  5. Plate the french toast. Spread peanut butter onto the slices of french toast.

  6. Top with your toppings of choice .

  7. Enjoy!
